Oversized Project Cargo Milestone
Successfully Transporting 78.6-Meter Windmill Blades from India to Europe!
At Emirates Logistics India, we take immense pride in executing complex and challenging logistics operations, and this project was no exception.
We successfully managed the transportation and loading of 78.6-meter-long windmill blades from Kandla Port, India, to Europe, ensuring precision, safety, and efficiency for our esteemed client. This first-of-its-kind operation involved a total parcel size of 15 blades (5 sets of 3 blades each), marking a significant milestone in our expertise in handling oversized cargo.
Challenges & Our Expertise in Action
Undertaking such a project presented several unique challenges, including:
- Specialized Handling of Ultra-Long Cargo: The sheer length of 78.6 meters required expert handling, specialized lifting equipment, and precise manoeuvring to avoid any structural stress or damage during transit.
- Precise Coordination for Safe Loading & Stowage: Given the delicate nature of windmill blades, ensuring their optimal placement and securing them for ocean transport was critical. Our team meticulously planned the loading sequence, ensuring even weight distribution and compliance with international shipping standards.
- Overcoming Infrastructure & Logistical Constraints: Managing such an extensive cargo demanded innovative solutions to navigate port infrastructure limitations and optimize transportation routes. Emirates Logistics’ in-depth understanding of port operations and global logistics networks helped us execute this seamlessly.
Despite these challenges, our expert project cargo team executed flawlessly, strengthening our position as a trusted partner in renewable energy logistics and oversized cargo transportation.
